Jensen Ackles Starring in Child's Play remake ?

Jensen Ackels (  Dean Winchester from the Supernatural series ) is rumored to be starring in the Child's Play remake as Jack Santos. There is also talk of Danny Trejo playing Paulie, Ariel Gade as Terri and Lisa Foiles as Andy's babysitter. and of course Brad Dourif will be returning as the voice of Chucky.

Is this a good thing  ? its no secret that I am fan of Supernatural . I think Jensen Ackles is gorgeous and a good actor. But is he right for Child's Play ?
