Screen Buried while Buried Alive!
While I know Meh will not be traveling to Texas for this due to his claustrophobia, one of the most interesting promotions for a horror screening will be happening the weekend before Fantastic Fest in Austin Texas. As part of Fantastic Fest's Rolling Roadshow, they will be screening the movie Buried the weekend before Fantastic Fest kicks off...but here's the kicker. If you sign up to RSVP for the event, 4 random people will be chosen to screen the film buried underground! Thats right, what better way to see a hyped movie about a man being buried alive then to be buried alive yourself and watch the film!
The Buried with Buried: Rolling Roadshow of One special screening will be taking place September 18th at a to be determined location in Austin, Texas. The good news is if you are one of the lucky(or is it unlucky) four to be buried alive for the screening, there will be emergency medical services monitoring all four participants at all times in case something goes wrong. Needless to say there will also be some waivers with skull and crossbones all over that must be signed as well. The even better news is if you survive the Buried with Buried screening, you will be walking the red carpet at the films Fantastic Fest premiere at the Paramount theater featuring Buried's star, Ryan Reynolds, and Director Rodrigo Cortez.
Those of our readers from Texas or who anyone else who may be attending Fantastic Fest that are brave enough to sign up for this chance to be buried alive to screen the film, the official RSVP and details are at the Buried with BURIED: Rolling Roadshow of One Facebook Page.
For anyone not attending Fantastic Fest, Buried will be hitting theaters nationwide October 8th. In Buried, Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds), truck driver and family man, wakes up BURIED ALIVE in an old wooden coffin. Not knowing who might have put him there or why, his only chance to escape from this nightmare is a mysterious cell phone. Poor reception, battery and lack of oxygen are his worst enemies in a race against time: Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued.
