Strange Activity on the Set of The Stone Movie

Upcoming British psychological thriller The Stone: No Soul Unturned which is currently being filmed in Nottinghamshire, England has experienced some strange paranormal activity.

On the first day of filming the writer/director Philip Gardiner, experienced some bizarre activity where his phone would ring, although he had it turned off. Also an actress on the set Layla Randle Conde would be standing directly by Gardiner while his phone was ringing and it was Layla calling, although her phone was in her bag across the room.

They experienced other phones ringing and playing up, fire alarms randomly ringing, bizarre light effects and kettles switching on and off.

The cast even held seances during the night as the paranormal activity occurred so frequently, and some say they could feel an evil presence.

Director Philip Gardiner said: "It’s a fascinating experience even if you don’t believe in the paranormal because we we’re actually filming a horror movie. It’s as if fiction is coming to life"

Gardiner said regarding The Stone “I didn’t want to copy Blair Witch or Paranormal Activity. I’m aiming at classic British horror in the vein of the very best Hammer House."

The Stone: No Soul Unturned is set for a 2011 release and is being produced by Reality Films and stars Andrew Gough, Nik Spencer, Layla Randle Conde, Sarah Dunn, Dap C, Corjan, Simon Dulay and Wes Dolan. For more information and behind the scenes footage, visit the official website.

I'm still not sure what to think about the movie or the paranormal activity that they say they experienced, but I would like to think that some paranormal stuff did happen and hopefully they will produce and old-school 'Hammer Horror' style film, they have the perfect location, lets just see what they do with it.

Synopsis: "The Stone is a movie coming in 2011. The basic story is based upon the battle to overcome our own demons. Five paranormal investigators arrive at a medieval church. A great hall stands close by, once residence of the mad, bad, Lord Byron. Alister, Craig, Helena, Charlotte and Tony have all come to seek out the mysteries of life after death. They invoke the spirits, but what they find are mirrors into their own souls."

The movie is scheduled to premier at next years International Cannes Film Festival.
