Ridley Scott on Alien Prequel

Not much has been said on the upcoming ALIEN prequel but I'm sure you are all anxious to see what Ridley Scott will do with the prequel and his return to the ALIEN franchise. I know I'm excited, after ALIENS (1986) my interest in the franchise dwindled further and further away and when Alien Vs. Predator arrived, that was it, they have milked the franchise as much as they could and I was left clutching ALIEN (1979) and ALIENS (1986) pretending it was all a nightmare.

Ridley Scott recently spoke to The Independent and below you can check out an excerpt from that interview:

When asked about ALIENS Ridley Scott said "Jim's raised the bar and I've got to jump to it, he's not going to get away with it."

When asked about the upcoming ALIEN prequel Scott said "The film will be really tough, really nasty," he notes "It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?"

Still not much to go on, but having Ridley Scott the guy that started it all, back involved in the franchise can only mean good things, and from what he said above my anticipation is increasing and hopefully I can block out ALIEN: Resurrection and pretend it never existed.
