Takashi Shimizu to Take on Rabbit Horror 3D
Director Takashi Shimizu (Ju-On) is about to tackle his second 3D horror film which is currently planned to be titled Rabbit Horror 3D. His first 3D horror film is titled The Shock Labyrinth 3D and was Asia's first 3D horror film. The film is set to star Mitsushima Hikari (Death Note).
Rabbit Horror 3D is said to be inspired by the movie Alice In Wonderland, due to the story focusing on a rabbit in an alternate world. A quick run down of the story reveals that Mitsushima'a brother is sent to an alternate world after receieving the rabbit. Mitsushima must then reveal the secret of the rabbit in order to retrieve her brother.
Rabbit Horror 3D will be filmed in Panasonic's dual-lens AG-3DA1 camera, and it will use Christian Doyle as the main cinematographer. The filming is expected to be finished on September 8, and Rabbit Horror 3D is set for a 2011 theatrical release.
I am intrigued to see how this turns out, I want to see what Takashi does with this and hopefully there will be a few surprises thrown in. To be honest with you there isn't much that freaks me out, but rabbits hit that spot with me, especially if it talks, anyone remember the easter bunny in Bill & Ted? Enough said! :D
