Count Dracula in Renfield: The Undead
Renfield: The Undead directed by Bob Willems (S.I.C.K. Serial Insane Clown Killer) will be making it's world premiere at this years Bram Stoker Film Festival, which is held at Whitby, England and runs from October 14-17.
The official website and trailer is said to be launched within the week, so stay tuned for that. The film stars John W. Stevens as Count Dracula, Phil Nichols as Renfield, Shelly Boozer, Mel House, Paul Damon, Tyler Tackett, Julin, Roxy Cook and Cory Hart.
Synopsis: "R. N. Renfield (Nichols), once the slave of Dracula, is now an insane vampire stalking a modern metropolis (Bayou City). Known as "The Bayou City Butcher", he is pursued by Detective Paul Cranston, a driven homicide investigator who always gets his man.
Renfield is also sought by Mina Harker (newcomer Roxy Cook), now also a vampire, and her hybrid-vampire son, Quincy (Tackett). The dark pair are seeking a relic in Renfield's possession: the skull Of Dracula. It is their intent to use the skull to resurrect Dracula and restore the house of Dracula.
It is a game of cat and mouse in which the mad vampire Renfield reveals his ancient past with the Vampire Lord Dracula and battles the forces of darkness and the mortals of Bayou City."
I've been waiting a while for an old-school Count Dracula inspired movie and now I think we have one, this looks and sounds great and having it's world premiere at the Bram Stoker Festival is just awesome. With veteran stage actor John W. Stevens on board as Count Dracula has me clamouring for this release.
