THEMS! - Giant Cockroaches in the Ghetto?

Thanks to Avery for the heads up on the upcoming low budget, sci-fi/horror movie titled THEMS! Directed by Eliab Alvarez de la Campa, now when I first read this I thought, is this a sequel to the 1954 film THEM directed by Gordon Douglas? No it's not as it doesn't contain ants in the dessert instead it contains giant cockroaches... In the ghetto!

THEMS! is produced by the production company ReelsurReal which was formed in the summer of 2009 by Eliab Alvarez de la Campa and Larry Bentley. The film stars Mark Asch, Natalie Nine and jay Rodriguez.

I think it has taken a lot of inspiration from the movie THEM, as this looks set to be an awesome low-budget creature feature and it will be in black & white, total 50's style, it is said to tie the 50's sci-fi with 70's grindhouse... Okay where do I sign up?

The movie is still in development and they are looking to get there film shown at The Knoxville Horror Film Fest. Check out the awesome trailer below:
