BUNYAN - Giant Axe Murderer!

Thanks to Avery for the information about the upcoming indie monster film BUNYAN, the film is a dark and contemporary take on the legend of lumberjack Paul Bunyan. The story of Paul Bunyan goes, he was a friendly giant that dug the Grand Canyon and also created Mount Hood when he piled rocks on a campfire to put it out. Paul had a companion named babe, which was a gigantic blue ox.

This is a horror movie here so don't expect a friendly giant, by the looks of things we have one pissed off giant axe murderer!

BUNYAN is produced Kinetic Filmworks and is co-written & directed by Gary Jones (Boogeyman 3) and written by Jeff Miller the film stars genre legend Joe Estevez (Deathbed), Thomas Downey (Exorcism: The Possession of Gail Bowers), Amber Conner, Tim Lovelace, Jesse Kove and Ryan Hooks.

Synopsis: "Kids at a first time offender’s boot camp in Minnesota discover that the legend of Paul Bunyan is real, but much more horrifying than they could have imagined. They incur the wrath of the 15-foot monstrous giant, who was banished from town 100 years ago and thought dead."

BUNYAN is currently filming  and is set for a 2011 release.
