Dimension Films Has A New President - Remake Galore Inside

Over in the Dimension Films camp, they are about get an injection of some new blood in the form of ex Sony SVP of production Brad Luff. As this coming Monday Brad Luff will become the President of production over at Dimension Films.

Now that may not seem like relevant news in itself but Luff will oversee the completion of Scream 4 but it is also revealed that he will oversee production of An American Werewolf In London, Hellraiser, Children of the Corn also a reboot of both Scanners and Short Circuit.

So it seems that the remake/sequels of all the above titles are still planned to go ahead, and now we play the waiting game to see what happens and the only thing we can hope for is that they turn out good.

Dimension Films have been quite silent on the horror movie front, as they used to chug out horror films every so often, so maybe this is what they need to bring them back, but it would be nice if they dropped the remakes and focused on original ideas, but who knows what the future holds.

What do you guys think? How do you see these planned remakes/sequels?
