Leonardo DiCaprio is the 'Devil'

Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to play the role of America's first serial killer H.H. Holmes, he will star in the screen adaptation of Erik Larson's novel The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America.

According to Deadline Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way partner Jennifer Killoran and Double Features partners Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher have partnered together to acquire the rights to Erik Larson's novel.

Summary: "Bringing Chicago circa 1893 to vivid life, "The Devil In the White City" intertwines the true tale of two men - Daniel H. Burnham, the brilliant architect behind the legendary 1893 World's Fair, striving to secure America's place in the world; and Dr. H.H. Holmes, the cunning serial killer who used the fair to lure his victims to their death in his elaborately constructed "Murder Castle."

Here's a little documentary on H.H. Holmes and the World's Fair, unfortunately the narrators talk quite fast, but it's insightful if you are curious about Holmes.

Although I'm not to keen on Leonardo, that's just me, but the guy can act and I think he will do a good job in portraying America's first ever serial killer.

What do you guys think? Is Leonardo DiCaprio a good casting choice to play H.H. Holmes?
