Silent Hill Gets a 3D RevelationDeth_Banger
The sequel to Christophe Gans Silent Hill has been renamed as Silent Hill: Revelations 3D and Michael J. Bassett the director of Solomon Kane will be writing and directing the 3D sequel. I wonder if they are aware that the new Hellraiser sequel has the same Revelations moniker?
As well as revealing the director and the new name for the Silent Hill sequel, we have a synopsis for the film;
The sequel follows Heather Mason and her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now, on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever
I'm much more of a fan of the Silent Hill games than the film, but is there really any point in filming this in 3D? The thing about the games is the creepy atmosphere which made it so eerie, so I was hoping they would focus more on that, but who knows maybe 3D will enhance that... Somehow.
So how do you feel about this? Fan of the films/games? Is Bassett a good choice for Silent Hill?
