Total Recall Set for a Summer 2012 Release

Total Recall IMO the classic 1990 Schwarzenegger flick which still stands strong today features some of the best one-liners and Arnie outbursts in his illustrious career. But then, the remake gets the go ahead, Colin Farrell gets cast as Douglas Quaid and Len Wiseman helms the remake.

The original screenplay for the 1990 version was penned by Ronald Shusett & Dan O’Bannon and Jon Povill in which Phillip K. Dick's short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" was used as a source for the film.

This time around in the Len Wiseman remake, the screenplay is being written by Kurt Wilmer, James Vanderwilt and Mark Bomback. According to FirstShowing Sony's Total Recall remake is heading for an August 3rd 2012 theatrical release date.

I could go on and rant about my distaste for a remake of this classic film but I won't, I will simply choose not to watch it, but who knows maybe they will bring something different to the table, we shall see.

What do you guys think?
