Critics Declare Million Dollar Baby Best film of 2004

According to Reuters the National Society of Film Critics has named Million Dollar Baby the best film of 2004. The runner up being Sideways. Not being a member of this group I can not say much about the choices. "House of Flying Daggers" was given the award for best cinematography. In an earlier review Hakeem a contributing writer to this site said that Sideways would not be the best film of 2004, but that he enjoyed it. ( Read it : Sideways Movie Review )

I saw a copy of House of Flying Daggers on DVD and intend to run out tomorrow and buy it. The award only makes me think I am right in doing so.
