Peter Spierig talks Daybreakers
Here you can read a few clips:
DG: What's Daybreakers about?
Peter: If you've read the synopsis, you'll know that the vampires are the dominant species and that humans are on the brink of extinction. What it's really about is the relationship between the humans and the vampires. It's just a matter of time before the human population is wiped out for good which means that the vampires will suffer an eternity of starvation and madness if they can't find an alternative to human blood. Then one man discovers that the only solution, the only way to save the vampire race, is to make them human again.
DG: How would you compare Daybreakers to Undead?
Peter: The film is much darker and far more serious than Undead. The story centers around two vampire brothers - one finds a way to become human again, the other joins the military whose purpose is to track down and capture humans.

I really liked "Undead", and i can't wait to see Michael and Peter Spierig's new movie. They did an amazing job with their Zombie movie and i'm very curious to see how they will deal with the Vampire genre.
