Bubba Ho-Tep Land Slides to #1 Horror Flick on MoviesOnline

Bubba Ho-Tep is one of my personal favorite films for 2004. I am obviously not alone. It is the #1 Horror Movie in our Horror Movie Section. It is not by a narrow margin either. It has a solid lead on all other films at this time almost 425 votes.

The job that Bruce Campbell does in this film is second to none, and the story as well as all of the supporting actors is excellent.

Based on the Bram Stoker Award nominee short story by acclaimed author Joe R. Lansdale, Bubba Ho-tep tells the “true” story of what really did become of Elvis.

We find the King  as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his “death”, then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack  a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds…
