Slither - The Cast Begins to Slide in
According to Dread Central, the cast to "Slither" from first time director James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead Remake Writer) is beginning to take shape with the recent casting annoucement. It seems that Elizabeth Banks and Michael (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer) Rooker have been signed to star in this film.
Here's what the article goes on to say:
"Slither which you may recall is about an alien plague that infects a small town. Rooker will play a local who more or less goes mad from the plague and sets out on a killing spree. Banks will play his wife, who teams up with an old boyfriend to try and stop the aliens.
Gunn has said many times how he sees Slither as a return to the effects-heavy creature flicks of the 80’s, and it’s obvious he has some say over whose being cast in the roles if he’s got an icon like Rooker for top billing. Universal’s Gold Circle will be distributing the picture when it’s ready to go."
