War of the Worlds knocks out Fantastic Four

War of the Worlds is already making a servant of other movies. According to the Hollywood Reporter the Fantastic Four's opening date has been moved because of War of the Worlds. It was scheduled to open July 1st to take advantage of the holiday in the US, but now will be opening on the weekend of the 8th.

It seems that 20th Century Fox does not want their film going head to head with War of the Worlds, can not say I blame them.  Based on the Marvel comics, the "Fantastic Four" consists of Reed Richards, Sue Richards, Benjamin Grimm and Johnny Storm. They rocketed into space in an experimental starship, the first humans to attempt interstellar travel.

But a freak encounter with cosmic rays changed their lives forever, granting each unique powers. Now, they continue to challenge the unknown as the greatest team of superhuman adventures ever assembled.
