The Fly - As an Opera?!?

Now I'm not to sure about this, but you never know, this could end up being good - "NOT!" 

According to The Associated Press, composer Howard Shore "is working on an opera version of David Cronenberg’s horror film "The Fly" for a 2007 premiere by the Los Angeles Opera."

I don't know about you, but "The Fly" is the last movie I would want to turn into an opera..hell I would'nt want to turn any movie into an opera.  I say shoot this thing now.. and put it out of it's misery.
