New Line Buys Amusement

New Line has pre-emptively picked up Jake Wade Walls script for the horror tale, "Amusement". I'm not entirely sure of what this guy has done but apparently he is also working on "When a Stranger Calls" for Sony Screen Gems. So I guess until one of his horror flicks come out we can look forward to this one.

Wall's script centers on a traumatized woman who's questioned by a cop and a psychiatrist about three stories -- involving a clown, a hotel and a convoy -- that involve her and two of her female friends from childhood. Sounds almost like an anthology to me. I happen to like those but we'll have to wait and see where this one goes.

Mike Macari and Neal Edelstein are going to produce. They are quite familiar with the genre have produced both The Ring and The Ring Two.
