Deadman's Toys - Land of the Dead Figures

Now this is a bit of exciting news for toy fans as well as fans of Romero's "Dead" films.   SOTA Toys has just announced that they will be producing a line of action figures based off of Universal Pictures' upcoming fourth installment in George Romero's "Dead" saga - Land of the Dead.

Here's what SOTA says about this upcoming Land of the Dead series:

"We're stoked to be working on the latest installment of the "Dead" series," said SOTA Toys' President Jerry Macaluso. "If you're going to make zombie movie action figures, you might as well make the best. George Romero is THE undisputed King of the Dead."

The figures are still under development, but they will be released as part of SOTA Toys' Now Playing Line Up.  What we also know is that the tentatively scheduled figures to be released are Big Daddy, Blade and Cholo, with a fourth figure to be announced at a later date.

As soon as more news on the LOTD figures in known, you can bet the deadman will bring it to you.  Look for these figures to be relased sometime in early 2006.
