Lions Gate to Distribute Borderland

Lions Gate Films is doing it again and picking up a possible gem from what could have been a straight to DVD film. This time they are re-teaming up with the producer of Cabin Fever, Lauren Moews. A relative unknown director Zev Berman is directing the film, Borderland.

The film is a ripped-from-the-headlines tale of three Texas college seniors whose graduation trip to a Mexican border town turns into a nightmare when they run into an ancient human-sacrifice cult. According to Variety, Brian Presley, Rider Strong and Jake Muxworthy will star.

Berman and Eric Poppen devolped the script which has began filming in Tijuana, Mexico.
