Horror done 80s Style

Orphanage, a special effects/production shingle, have sold Irving Beletache's untitled horror pitch to Fortress entertainment. Right now the details of the film are being kept under wraps but apparently it will take fresh spin on the 1980s teen horror genre.

The Orphanages head of production, Amy Israel will be producing the film. "Irving came up with a wickedly scary and fun story," Israel said. "We're delighted to be working with Fortress to bring it to the screen. They were really aggressive in snapping up the pitch and taking it off the market."

I'm not sure what they are trying to hide but it makes me curious that they choose to make an 80s horror film. I'm quite fond of several 80s flicks but I'm not sure if a studio could ever really bring back the same feeling for a film during that era. We'll have to wait and see what details are released as time goes on.
