Stephen Kings The Mist Finally Underway?
Stephen Kings novella "The Mist" has been in the works for a couple years now and it looks like there is a possiblity that the wait could be over. The director Frank Darabont has informed Robert McCammon that the film will likely start filming in December.
Now I am not familiar with the story myself so I dug up a short synopsis for the novel. The Mist tells the tale of a strange and deadly mist that takes over the small town of Bridgton, near Long Lake, on 17th of July. Some survivors take shelter in a Federal market, but discover they are not safe inside, because the mist is not just mist - it's alive and after them!
Sounds like a great idea for a movie. At least we will be getting something new instead of an over used plot gimmick or worse a remake.
