Let the Cutting Begin: Hill Have Eyes to much for MPAA

Empire Online talked to Wes Craven about Alexandre Aja's remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES and accrording to Wes, Alex's version of the film:

"Is so intense and gory that the American ratings board, the MPAA, have given it the dreaded NC-17."

One of the reasons why Alex's HILLS has been tagged with the NC-17 rating would be contributed to the "considerably amped up" muntant attack of the family in their trailer.

"It's intense. Very intense. The attack on the trailer in my film was horrible, but it was over fairly fast. This one goes on almost ten full minutes. It’s fairly faithful to the original, but Alex added other things that also make it worse, what’s happening to these people."

You can read the rest of what Wes had to say here.. and it's definately a safe bet that an unrated DVD will come out of this - guarantee!

THE HILLS HAVE EYES remake is scheduled to be released into theaters on March 10, 2006.
