*UPDATE* DVD News: Horror in Hi-Definition

I stumbled across this bit of news that I thought our HM readers might be interested in.. especially those with Hi-Definition TVs.  DavisDVD has learned that major film studios are set to announce their first slates of high definition DVD titles at this week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  I'm only going to list those titles related to our site.. and here they are by studio:

*UPDATE:  DVD Times has posted an updated list of titles (with some release dates), so here it is.  For a full list of title, as well as the article (click here).

  • Warner Home Video:  Constantine (March 28, 2006)
  • Sony:  Bram Stokers: Dracula, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Species, Underworld: Evolution
  • Paramount: Sleepy Hollow
  • New Line: Seven
  • Universal: King Kong, The Chronicles of Riddick, Van Helsing, The Thing, Pitch Black
  • Lionsgate: The Devils Rejects, SAW, See No Evil
  • Buena Vista Home Entertainment: Dark Water

For more titles and information about the upcoming Hi-Def DVD release (click here).  This is going to be interesting to see, because each release is set to have special added extras, some with interactive gaming and advance branching menus.  Even though I don't have a hi-def TV, I'm a DVD nut and can't wait to see how these titles, as well as future ones look.
