Simon West To Helm More Teen Horror

Simon West whose previous work was directing Sony Gem's When A Stranger Calls is in negotiation to work for the studio again, only this time for a film called Vacancy.  The story was penned by Mark L. Smith and centers on a married couple who become stranded at a desolate motel and realize that their lives could be in danger.  Screen Gems is eyeing a mid-June start date.

Sony Gems as definitely taken the horror genre by surprise over the last few years and I would expect nothing different from this flick.  Although most fans were disappointed with When A Stranger Calls, I happened to think is was a pretty decent see.  We'll see what happens.  One thing is for sure, Vacancy is only in the pre-production stage so you can expect several updates over the next few months.  Keep it right here at HM.
