Dante Tomaselli Directing Halloween 9?

There have been rumours all over about our pal and yours, Dante Tomaselli directing Halloween 9. In a recent interview he gave to Splatter Container he spoke of how it all came about. It seems that some hardcore horror fans started up a petition online (which you should sign here) and it caught his attention.

So now he is in contact with Dimension about directing the next film. As far as we know nothing is solid and Dimension might just go with another flavor of the month director. But we can all hope for what Tomaselli has in mind.

"I'd love to bring back Jamie Lee Curtis. Also small roles or cameos for P.J. Soles, Nancy Loomis...even John Carpenter. It would be nice to see characters come back like Tommy Doyle. I'd also love to include Adrienne Barbeau, Felissa Rose, Bill Paxton, Ellen Sandweiss, Dee Wallace Stone, Amy Steel...so many more. The casting would be old-school horror."

Jamie Lee Curtis in my opinion got the raw end of the deal in the most recent installment. She wouldn't go out like that. Plus with all those horror heavyweights, how could this movie go wrong?
