Alexandre Aja doing remake of Into the Mirror?

Some time back The Goon posted a news item about Into the Mirror and how Sanji Senaka was making his directorial debut with the film remake. Well it seems things have changed. Now Alexandre Aja ( Alexandre Aja Video Interview ) has signed on to direct the film accroding to the trade magazines. Obviously his success with the Hills have Eyes Remake led to this. Another remake, but with a talented director who now has a good track record with remakes. What do you think?

Into the Mirror is a story wherein spirits from a different plane terrify shoppers in a mall. I am a huge fan of Alexandre Aja and I am completely confident that he will be able to do the original film justice. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted. Thanks to GoldenSimatar for the heads up
