Pumpkinhead 3 and 4 Updates and ImagesGoon
On the Pumpkinhead front it has been announced that the Pumpkinhead films in production will ignore what happend in Blood Wings and be a direct sequel to the original. Both of the films have also dropped the numbers and are being called Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes and Pumpkinhead: Love Hurts. Jake West and Mike Hurst will be directing.
Of course we have all heard that Lance Henriksen will be back playing the ghost of Ed Harley. Some other actors will be Lynne Verrall playing Haggis, the old witch who raises Pumpkinhead. Bunt Wallace will be back and all grown up. He is known as the boy who leads Harley to the witch and he will be portrayed by Douglas Roberts. The story will focus on Doug Bradleys character Doc Frasier, an eccentric small-town physician with a sideline in unauthorized organ donation.
Ashes to Ashes and Love Hurts are being shot back to back with much of the same crew. Now the idea behind Love Hurts has me a little worried. Apparently it is going to be slightly more comedic and have Pumpkinhead involved in a Romeo and Juliet plot. We'll have to wait and see how that turns out. You can expect to catch these films on SciFi one airing this October and the other next year. There is also talk that they may get a small theatrical run as well.
You can check out what Hurst had to say about his film over at Fangoria along with a picture of Doc Frasier played by Doug Bradley. Below is a picture of Pumpkinhead who was designed by Gary Tunnicliffe. Not to shabby, it looks very similar to what Stan Winston did. Keep it here for more.
