Sophia Bush Jumps On Board The Hitcher Remake

I'm going to be pretty blunt here and say I'm not excited about seeing this movie remade. Mainly because the whole idea of "The Hitcher" is that he was hitchhiking. Who does that anymore? It will be interesting to see what they try but I'm not on the edge of my seat.

Sophia Bush has been announced to star in the new remake as the female lead. The role has been rumored to be filled by Scarlett Johannsen and then Jessica Biel. She will be under the direction of Dave Meyer. In the new script apparently it will be two young travellers who get tormented by the Hitcher.

Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing for Dunes, along with Charles Meeker and Alfred Haber. Production is scheduled to start this June in Austin, Texas.
