Stir of Echoes Sequel with Rob Lowe

Variety reports that Rob Lowe will topline Stir of Echoes: The Dead Speak for Lionsgate. Ernie Barbaresh wrote the script and will also direct the film. Shooting is expected to begin in mid-July in Toronto.

This time around the film wil follow Rob Lowes character who returns home from a tour of duty in Iraq only to be haunted by visions of the dead. Sounds like a great follow up to the original film that had Kevin Bacon in the lead.

I'm actually a big fan of the original which had a great plotline mainly because the source material was so good. The first film was based off of a Richard Matheson novel and was more of a film of the real horrors comitted by man. I'm looking forward to this sequel because it sounds like they are taking a very good approach to it.
