Lionsgate Delivering Clive Barker's Next Film

Of all the Clive Barker stories I always thought that Midnight Meat Train would make a great movie. Now Variety has announced that Lionsgate and Lakeshore Entertainment will partner up to bring us the film adaptation. Patrick Tatopoulos will be directing this fantastic story that was published in Clive Barkers Books of Blood and adapted by Jeff Buhler.

The title of the film has been somewhat changed from Midnight Meat Train to Midnight Train. The film follows the story of Leon, a Gotham-based photographer whose efforts to track down "the subway butcher" lead to an unholy secret.

Production will begin this summer. Lionsgate will release the pic in the U.S. next year and is selling international rights at Cannes. I'll be keeping an eye on this project as it develops. Keep it here for more.
