Magnolia Scores Big with Host

I have been watching this film recently and now we have some positive news for us. The Host has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures and they will have rights to the U.K., U.S. and Australia. The Host did so well at Cannes they actually had to add some additional screenings for more buyers to view the film.

Bong Joon-ho's film The Host is basically about a gigantic sea creature that surfaces by Seoul, South Korea and terrorizes the people. You can check out the trailer for the film at the official website. Its the first thing that you see so don't worry about navigating the Korean site.

Magnolia is planning on unleashing this monster fest later this year. Hopefully it will get a wider release than its previous launch of Pulse. Either way we won't have to wait to long after its home country of Korea sees it in July.
