Manson Talks Phantasmagoria

You may remember a few months back when we first reported on Marilyn Mansons film Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll. Well recently MTV caught up with the man at Disney Land of all places. He seems to be very excited about the project and gave MTV the heads up about the project.

"In less than two weeks, I'm going to France to start production on my film, 'Phantasmagoria. I'm directing and playing ['Alice in Wonderland' author] Lewis Carroll, with Tilda Swinton and hopefully Evan Rachel Wood. Lily Cole, the model, is playing Alice."

In the article he also mentioned that he may be able to drag long time friend Johnny Depp into the project as well. Many people are very hyped to see what will come from Manson's twisted mind but he says not expect anything like a modern film. He wants to create something with more of a Hitchcock film. He also added something he is doing with the special effects.

"I have a magician that I've hired to do my special effects," Manson grinned. "I don't want any CGI. I want only in-camera, so I have a magician who's my special-effects man."

I don't think he had to go as far as hiring a magician to do special FX. There are plenty of guys out there who actually know how to make special FX work specifically for film. I would guess this is something that Manson wanted to do to bring more attention to his film. Well keep it here and we will let you know more on Mansons film as we hear it.
