Cho Has One Missed Call
The comedian Margaret Cho has just informed Sci Fi that she will be in the upcoming remake of Takashi Miike's One Missed Call. Apparently Cho has decided that its time to change up a few things and try out acting for awhile. But when speaking to Sci Fi she sounds a little out of touch with exactly is going on in the horror community right now. But she did manage to say alot about her role in the film.
"I play a very cynical policewoman who doesn't believe anybody is getting voice mails from ghosts. People hear themselves dying, and they have a couple of days to save themselves, to stop it from happening for real. They're getting voice mails from their ghostly selves. I've seen the original film, and it's terrifying. It's really creepy, and I think they’ve done a great job with this one. In J-horror a lot of things are very mysterious, and this one sort of illuminates the story a little more, but it's still very scary."
Cho will be joined by stars Edward Burns, Shannyn Sossamon, Ed Harris and Gabriel Byrne. Eric Vallette has been given the daunting task of directing all this talent. They hope to have the film released by next summer.
