Neil Marshalls Next Film: Doomsday

Most folks have been anxiously awaiting to see what Neil Marshall is going to do next. Well it looks like he may be taking a step back from the genre for a bit and going a bit more Action-Sci fi on us. Rhona Mitra has just signed on to his next picture entitled Doomsday.

Marshall has written the story in which three decades after a lethal virus tore through a major country, leading to the country's walling off. When the virus, known as the Reaper, resurfaces in another country, an elite group is dispatched to the infected country to find a cure. There, they end up shut off from the rest of the world and must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare. Mitra plays the leader of the elite group.

Production on the film is expected to begin in early 2007.
