Imagination Picks Up The Living and The Dead

Those gore lovin crazies  over at Imagination just sent me some news that they have acquired the distribution rights to Simon Rumley's The Living and The Dead. Now somehow I totally missed out on this movie because I have never even heard of it. But luckily for me they sent in a nice little synopsis for us all.

Close to bankruptcy, ex-Lord Donald Brocklebank (Roger Lloyd Pack, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) is forced to sell the sprawling mansion he lives in with his wife and schizophrenic son. Lady Nancy Brocklebank (Kate Fahy) has taken seriously ill and frantic shut-in James (Leo Bill, 28 Days Later) would like nothing more than to prove to his father that he is a responsible adult. In a misguided attempt to do so, James' own mental condition worsens and his ability to care for his mother diminishes along with his ability to tell fantasy from reality in this stylish and terrifying descent into madness...

The Living and The Dead has taken home countless awards from the 16 International Film Festivals it has played at including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Make-Up. Sound pretty impressive? Well if you live anywhere near Berlin you will get a shot to see it at the upcoming 2007 European Film Market.
