Films4Food Festival, Terr-ific Fun

Well kids yesterday was the Films4Food festival. The event was designed to raise money for the Good Shepherd Emergency Family Shelter. The event was alot of fun with screenings of Clerks 2, Shaun of the Dead and Behind the Mask. As well there was some stand up comedy routines done by Doug Nagy and Jessie Bonner which were both quite well done. The whole thing was a big movie social, very relaxed, tons of laughs and lots of fun.

I wanted to take a minute and thank all of you who supported the event by making charitable donations. We were able to raise thousands of dollars for a really great cause. I dont normally get so involved in these kinds of things, but considering it was for charity and we were able to make an impact to help feed and shelter the needy I think everyone who got involved and donated should pat themselves on the back.

For my part I brought a ton of goodies. DVDs, Free Movie Passes, music CDs, Posters, T-Shirts, books and more to give away! So literally almost EVERYONE who attended was able to go home with something. I felt like Santa. Thanks to all my friends at the various studios and PR firms who coughed up all kinds of great stuff to make the event a really fun one!

I am looking forward to seeing if we can do this event again next year. If you were unable to attend or for some reason totally missed the point of the event and would like to make a donation (you can use paypal) go right here. 100% of the money goes to the family shelter. Its a great cause guys and gals, so even if you can only spare a couple bucks please do give!  If you do make a donation feel free to brag on the boards, and PLEASE if you know somebody who you think could help us out with a donation email this link to your friends. Again, 100% of the money goes to the Family Shelter!
