An American Werewolf Doc On the Way

Goon

An American Werewolf in London is arguably the best werewolf film ever filmed. As a matter of fact in Horror Hound Issue #5 they do a comprehensive look back on the film which pretty much covers alot of bases. But of course us die hard Horror fans always want that kind of thing captured on film and on DVD.

Thats exactly what prompted the writer of that article Paul Davis to make his own documentary "Beware the Moon: Remembering An American Werewolf in London". What really prompted the man to get up and do this was the lackluster treatment that DVD recieved when it was released in 2001.

Now armed with a camera and some real knowledge about the film he is going to begin interviewing everyone involved with the original film. Right now he already has John Woodvine, Brenda Cavendish and Albert Moses confirmed for interviews. He is also in talks with several other actors and filmmakers to be in the feature as well including of course John Landis and David Naughton.

Right now Paul plans to begin filming on March 8th. Paul hopes that his documentary will force the powers to be to release a Special Edition DVD for An American Werewolf and that his doc will be included. I sure hope that happens. We all know if any film deserves it, it is definetly An American Werewolf in London.
