Anchor Bay Planning New Horror DVD Line

Goon

Anchor Bay has always been a personal favorite DVD company along with a couple of others. Today Anchor Bay has announced that they will be starting a new line of special limited edition DVDs celebrating some of the most revered contemporary classic cult and horror films. Featuring completely restored picture and sound, boasting new audio mixes and transfers, as well as featuring all newly produced bonus materials.

The first release under the new label will be Stuart Gordon’s classic 1985 horror film Re-Animator, available on March 20, 2007 which we posted the specs and art for here. Future “Anchor Bay Collection” releases include Don Coscarelli’s 1978 cult favorite Phantasm, the 1994 sequel Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead, and an upcoming “Hammer Films” box set.

Anchor Bay is promising alot with this new line and it looks to impress. They have plans to give all the films the best treatment they will ever receive. Hopefully these releases will rank up there with the fantastic release they did for the Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition Box Set.
