Rocco Directs The Killer Inside Me

Marc Rocco has just been attached to direct a adaptation of the 1952 novel "The Killer Inside Me" by Jim Thompson. Scribe Robert Weinbach will be adapting the novel for the filmmaker to take it to the silver screen. "The Killer Inside Me" concerns a deputy sheriff in a West Texas town whose kind Everyman demeanor masks his true dark self. He is slowly revealed as a psychotic killer.

Now the book was originally published in 1952 so that means that we will be seeing a lot of adaptations to the story. Rocco commented to Variety, "We will put him into a post-9/11 world, and one interesting layer to the script is how much technology has changed the definition of a small town."

I'm not completely sure which direction they will move this movie into. Sounds more like a Black Dahlia flick myself. But a small nudge in either direction and we can expect a pretty kick ass slasher. Only time will tell.
