Phantasm DVD Specs and Art

Today we recieved the specs and the cover art of the original Phantasm straight from our good friends over at Anchor Bay.  I hope it is as good as III, definatly reminded me of old style movie posters, hope they keep it up.  Now all we need to do is wait to see if Anchor Bay gets a hold of the rights for Phantasm II and then put out the sphere set in the USA that everyone else in the world is enjoying.

In Phantasm, a young boy Mike is living with his brother Jody after their parents died in a crash.  After one of Jody's friends is found dead, Mike spies on the funeral and after everyone disperses, he witnesses the mortician lift the casket into the hearse with complete ease and drive away.  Soon, Mike, Jody, and their ice cream vending friend Reggie uncover a strange new world and come face to face, with the Tall Man.

The film will be presented in a new anamorphic widescreen transfer, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 stero audio tracks.  As always, Anchor Bay ain't being slim on special features.
