Zack Snyder Readies Army of the Dead

Zack Snyder is on top of the world right now with a huge film 300 which is receiving critical acclaim from everyone. Not just movie critics but fans alike are swarming to check this bad boy out and what is on Zack Snyders mind? ZOMBIES!

Thats right Zack Snyder is teaming up with Warner Bros. to create the action-thriller horror flick "Army of the Dead". Some more good news seemed to surface in the trades that he has also started his own studio shingle with his wife called Cruel & Unusual Films. Its not confirmed whether he will direct Army of the Dead because next up on his agenda is Watchmen but hopefully he will.

The film is set in a quarantined Las Vegas in the not-too-distant future, "Army" revolves around a father who tries to save his daughter from imminent death in a zombie-infested world. Snyder told Variety that he wants the film to have a sweeping, epic-like quality to it. "I feel like there hasn't been a zombie movie on the scale that we want to do it" Snyder said.

I have to say I can't wait to check this bad boy out. I have to agree with the man that I have never really seen a real effort to make an epic zombie flick. This has been an idea I have wanted to see done for so long and with Dawn of the Dead Remake director Snyder behind it I am excited to see what comes of it.
