Bob Clark Dies in Car Crash

There are days when I sit around and wonder what I will say when the true icons of horror die. Sadly today is one of those days and I am honestly speechless. Not only because of his death but because of the way the man has left us.

Today the LA Times wrote that Bob Clark and his son Ariel were killed in an early morning collision along a stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades. The other driver was apparently under the influence of alcohol and was released from the local hospital with only minor injuries. Police report that he will be booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and gross vehicular manslaughter.

For those of you who are not familiar with the filmmaker he has made countless films including Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Black Christmas and a personal favorite A Christmas Story. The man will be sorely missed and everyone here at send our condolences to his family and anyone who knew the man personally.
