GrindHouse Split in the UK

The split of Grind House in the UK and its release as two films has been confirmed by Harvey Weinstein. According to OWF he recently confirmed the rumor that our UK readers will get to experience it as two movies and not one. As a side note Kudos to my buddy Richard at FilmStalker for calling this one correctly. Harvey Weinstein says, quote:

“Based on U.S. audience’s positive reactions to Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Death Proof’ and Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Planet Terror,’ combined with their resistance to the three-hour running time, we’ve revised our U.K. release plans to allow audiences the chance to see the films separately, like they will be shown in all international territories,”

Good, bad? You decide, sound off on the boards. Considering the movie bombed horribly in the US should be interesting to see if this saves it at all for the UK markets.
