Luke Ford joins Mummy 3 Cast

According to my buddy Richard at FilmStalker Alex PettyFer had just joined the cast of Mummy 3 to play the now grown son of Brendan Fraser. Well Variety has today disqualified that and are saying that Luke Ford will be playing his son. Rob Cohen told Variety, Quote:

In “The Mummy” sequel, Ford will play Alex O’Connell, the 20ish son of adventurer Rick O’Connell (Fraser), who journeys into the forbidden tombs of China and into the Himalayas, where they run into a new shape-shifting mummy, a former Chinese emperor who was cursed by a female wizard.

You will recall that Jet Li will play the Mummy in this one, which should be interesting. Jet Li plays a great villain, ala Lethal Weapon I think we may have something good in the works, I really enjoyed the first 2 films
