A Tale of Two Sisters Remake Underway

It was quite awhile back when we last heard anything about the A Tale of Two Sisters remake. The news actually came by way of a rumour that Mark Kate and Ashley Olsen were actually up for the roles of the sisters. Well thankfully it doesn't appear that the rumor is true.

Today however we have learned that shooting for the remake will begin June 16th in Vancouver, Canada. The remake sticks very closely to what the original does but of course they did change the names: Anna and Alex Rydell, a modern-day teenage sisters who return home from a mental hospital only to find their recovery unraveling because of a cruel stepmother, clueless father and a lingering ghost.

No word on who will be directing or of anyone signed on to star. Obviously they must have some people comitted to the project already so we should be hearing details shortly. The original was directed by Korean filmmaker, Kim Ji-woon.
