Alligator Slithers From Sewers
Two monsters seem to be cropping up a lot in horror today. Giant pigs and alligators/crocodiles. Already we got several pig films in different production stages, a croc film that went from theaters to DVD (Primeval), a straight to dvd croc feature (Supercroc), another one from sci-fi (Lake Placid 2), one awaiting release (Rogue) and one in production (Black Water). And a gator classic coming now to DVD.Fangoria got word that the 1980 film Alligator (by Cujo's Lewis Teague) will be heading to DVD via Lionsgate in September. No word on extras besides a widescreen transfer and a commentary by Teague and star Robert Forster, an interview with writer John Sales and trailer.
Lets hope Lionsgate includes some extra stuff before its release. A retrospective featurette would be nice, at least something about building and making the alligator.
Alligator is due out on September 18.
