Dafoe Dons the Fangs for Daybreakers

Star Pulse News is reporting that Willem Dafoe will be joining the cast of Daybreakers. Ethan Hawke spoke to the website and revealed that he is growing out his hair for the role. Hopefully he won't look like those poor saps in Interview with the Vampire. The film will of course be shooting in Austrailia and he had this to say about the film.

"I'm going to make a vampire picture and I'm going to chew on some necks. Willem Dafoe and I are duelling vampires. It's a vampire movie set way in the future where everyone is a vampire and we're all eating our own resources, so we're trying to get off on foreign humans. We're trying to get off of trying to create blood substitutes. It's a big analogy about what's going on now. It's really dark and weird and everybody's sucking each other's blood."

Also cast in the film is the Jurassic Park guy Sam Neil. This is the follow up from the guys who brought us the off the wall zombie flick Undead, Michael and Peter Spierig. Currently they are shooting for a release during the tail end of 2008.
