Ryan Gosling joins Lovely Bones

Ryan Gosling has just signed on to play a role in Peter Jacksons Lovely Bones! He will play Jack Salmon the father of Susie the main character. Peter Jackson will team up wtih Fran Walsh to tell the story of "The Lovely Bones" which we are told should hit theatres sometime in 2007 or 2008, after KING KONG has been finished.

Now with that said no studio has signed on to make the movie since the script isnt even done. Once the script is complete Jackson is expected to shop it around. Jackson is going to direct and produce The Lovely Bones. The Lovely Bones is a best selling novel which is narrated by a young girl who was raped.. Catch here is the girl is dead and is narrating from heaven. She helps those left behind cope with her fate.

In talking to Variety Peter Jackson is quotted as saying:

"It's the best kind of fantasy in that it has a lot to say about the real world, You have an experience when you read the book that is unlike any other. I don't want the tone or the mood to be different or lost in the film."

So lets just wait and see what happens.. this movie will not be coming anytime soon.
